Fun Dance Event Rules
Eligibility
Adult/Senior competitors: Must be Ballroom Amateur DanceSport Athlete or Social Dance members in good standing of USA Dance.
Collegiate competitors: Must be Ballroom Amateur DanceSport Student Athlete, Ballroom Amateur DanceSport Athlete, or Social Dance members of USA Dance in good standing. Must be currently enrolled in a collegiate program leading to a degree or have graduated from a collegiate degree program within the past 6 months and no older than 35.
All events at this competition are gender neutral. This means that regardless of a dancer’s gender, they are welcome to compete in the role that best suits them and all amateur couples of any configuration will compete on the floor together.

Qualifying for Nationals
No qualification is needed to participate in Amateur Fun Dance events.

Parental or Guardian Approval Required for Minors
Written approval of a parent or legal guardian is required for all athletes under the age of 18. This must be presented at time of package pick up.
Format and Entry Divisions
Events consist of one dance.
Competitor Fees
Competitor fees for Social Fun Dances are $25 per dance. Entrance to the ballroom for the session must be purchased separately if not taking part in National competitive events.
Refund Policy
Competitors who cancel by Friday, February 19, 2025, will receive a 75% refund of their entry fees; those cancelling between February 20, 2025, and March 1, 2025, will receive a 50% refund. Those cancelling after March 1, 2025, will not receive refunds.
Scoring
The scoring system used is the skating system. The best combined score for all dances determines placement in the event.
Competition Efficiency
The organizer reserves the right to cancel events for which there are an insufficient number of entries.
