9:30AM  –  Foot Action in Latin Rumba and Cha-Cha: A lesson for newcomers through champs on clarity of foot placement, brushing of the feet, and how important extension and connection to the floor are for every movement you make.

4:00PM  –  Rhythmical Accents and Dynamic Accents: Learn from a 10 Dance World Finalist how you can make your dancing have better use of timing and dynamics. Participants should be prepared to do some Samba.

Ruslan Wilder:
Ruslan started dancing at the age of six in St. Petersburg, Russia. Had a successful dance career as amateur in Russia with a few other partners prior to moving to US in 1997. After getting married to Katusha in 2002 they continued their amateur and professional dance career together. Since than they have acquired numerous and various top titles as amateurs and professionals in the United States and around the World in the DanceSport Industry today. Ruslan and Katusha are Owners of Championship Dance Camps and Organizers of Independence Day Ball Dance Camp which takes place annually on July 4th weekend in Washington, DC.

Anton Silantev and Olga Akopova:
Originally from Russia, they started to dance together in 2009 and turned Professional in 2012. They are the two time Russian Professional champions in Ten Dance and Ballroom Showdance, WDSF PD World Bronze medalists in Ballroom Showdance and three time WDSF PD World Championship finalists in Ten dance. In 2019, Anton and Olga moved to the USA and started teaching while also developing their knowledge in American Rhythm and Smooth. Currently they are top Professional competitors regularly placing in the top three at competitions in the Professional Standard, Latin, and Smooth divisions. When not competing, they are certified Fred Astaire Instructors coaching out of the Fred Astaire Studio in Paradise Valley, Arizona.

11:00AM  –  Let’s Talk Arm Styling: Now is the chance to learn from the best about what it takes to make good use of your arms. This lesson will revolve around Smooth, but good arm movement is essential for Smooth, Rhythm, and Latin!

1:30PM  –  Viennese Waltz: Technique and Execution: In this workshop we’ll cover several technical aspects of Viennese Waltz in Smooth. We’ll work through an amalgamation designed to help you practice and perform the technique covered.

Roman Zotov & Anna Zotova:
Roman and Anna are highly respected and sought after coaches and choreographers in the United States. As professional competitors, they are the reigning USA Dance National Professional Rhythm Champions, US Finalists in Mambo, and took 3rd in the 2021 World Rising Star Professional American Rhythm Championships.

They currently reside in Southern California and own and operate Zotov Dance Production in Los Angeles. They are certified A+ B+ D+ by Dance Vision and are licensed adjudicators with USA Dance.

9:30AM  –  Turns and Spins: Learn how to improve your turns and spins to be faster, more balanced, and more fun. This lesson will revolve around Rhythm, but turns and spins are essential for all dancing!

11:00AM  –  Cha Cha: Technique and Execution: In this workshop we’ll cover several technical aspects of Cha Cha in Rhythm. We’ll work through an amalgamation designed to help you practice and perform the technique covered.

2:30PM  –  Rise and Fall in Waltz: Have a world-level champion walk you through what it takes to have great rise and fall – even if you’re a champion yourself! Smoothies and bolero dancers also welcome.

5:00PM  –  Quickstep – Timing and Execution: A fantastic pairing with our rise and fall lecture, this lesson will cover timing, foot actions, and controlled movement through the medium of quickstep. A quickstep workshop but highly applicable to all styles.
